Three More Gold Stars Three new Gold 'Stars have appeared on Berwyn Service Flags the past week, representing men who fell in the present conflict. One of the men lost his life in Italy, one in Normandy and the third in the Southwest Pacific, One other man is reported as missing and another wounded. Pvt, Frank J.

Triner, 28, a graduate of Piper and Morton has 'been listed as being killed in action in Italy after (first being reported as missing. He vjas with the 5th Army. His parents, Mr. and Mrs, Thomas Triner, now reside at 5622 23rd st. in Cicero.

An aunt, Mrs. Frank Neu-berg, resides at 6506 28th street. Pvt. Triner saw action in North Africa, in Sicily and earlier Italian campaigns. Lt.

Frank J. Elias, who lived in Berwyn for some time before entering the army, lost his life five days after D-day in Normandy. He came from Cedar Rapids, where his wife now resides. Lt, Elias, who was with the infantry, has a sister, Mrs. E.

C. Reif, living at 1443 Wenonah avenue. Reported killed in action in the Southwest Pacific is Pfc Carl Oplatka, whose uncle Edward Oplatka lives at 2310 Euclid avenue. No details available at press time. Listed by the Navy as woundded is Ensign Edgar Davis Tripple, USNR, whose wife, Mrs.

Marjorie Marilyn Tripple, lives at 2017 Maple avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hurt of 1330 Grove avenue, have been informed that their son. Paratrooper Sgt.

Wood takes on his new and large civic duty with a broad knowledge of the organization needs involved in a campaign of the scope indicated by his entire region, which includes Maywood, Forest Park, Cicero, Broadview, Westchester, Berwyn, Lyons, Riverside, Brookfield, Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, Evergreen Park, Blue Island, Atwood Heights, Lemont, Willow Springs, Justice, Roberts Park, Worth, Palos Heights, and Palos Park. At a meeting of all regional chairmen in the Suburban division Tues- day evening, July 18, in Chicago, Mr. Wood announced the appointment of the following district chairmen: Ray Warnecke, 640 Marengo avenue, Forest Park, District 16, which includes Bellwood, Maywood, Hillside, Forest Park, Broadview, Westchester, Ernest A.
