7 BUREAU CO UNTY REPUBLICAN Bureau County Republican bcrnew s.com 18,2021 OBITUARIES PRINCETON Chase Allen Morgan, 18, of Princeton, IL passed away early Saturday morning on August 14, 2021. Chase, lovingly re- ferred to as Goober by his dad, was born on September 27, 2002 in Terre Haute, IN to Rodney Morgan and Brandy Clawson. He attended Princeton High School and worked at Culvers for a few years before starting his job at Ace Distribution Center, a job he loved. He was heavily into the Boy Scouts of America, being a Life Scout and Order of the Arrow, just a few steps shy of an Eagle Scout. He loved doing community service.

He and his father went to Camp Butler lay- ing wreaths on all the graves for many years. He also helped with Flags of Freedom and enjoyed marching in the Homestead Parade every year. He loved going fishing almost as much as he loved his Jeep. His Jeep was his greatest accomplishment, and he was so proud of it. Additionally, he loved his siblings, and enjoyed spending time with his family the most, including Gam, Pap, Mamaw and all of his nieces and nephews.

Chase loved going to the creek; he was very outdoorsy and loved spending time out- side. He enjoyed music of many genres and working at Ingersoll Scout Reservation, doing the flag ceremonies and assisting with all Scout activities. He was a friend to everyone and knew no strangers. He loved doing the outpost at camp, including the skits and plays which had him in many roles, including Horseshoe Ben and Paul Bunyan; he would even master their accents. When he was little, he would always point out to his dad the men wearing veteran ball caps and would approach them and thank them for their service; he was always respectful.

He was always ending his convo with an love or He will be greatly missed by those who loved him, especially his family. He is survived by his father, Rodney (Karie) Morgan of Princeton, IL; his mother, Brandy Lynn Clawson of Champaign, IL; his two sisters, Destiny (Kolby Snodgrass) Morgan of Clinton, IA and Gracelyn Morgan of Prince- ton, IL; one brother, Dalton (Angel) Hall of Paris, IL; his Pap and Gam, Roger and Peggie Morgan of Princeton, IL and Mamaw Cathy Clawson of Paris, IL; two nephews, Brently Hall, Abel Snodgrass; two nieces, Dalila Morgan and Kaylee Hall; three stepsiblings, Hailey Shaw, Bryce shaw and Brayden Shaw; and too many special relatives to list. Chase is preceded in death by his Papaw Billy Clawson, and Uncle Jimmy Doyle. A visitation for Chase will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. Monuments from 10 a.m.

Kmetz was born October 4, 1958 in Sikeston, MO to Harold and Margaret (Taylor) Kitchen. She was a graduate of Ohio High School. She married Mark Kmetz on Septem- ber 15, 1979 at St. Church, Peru. Mrs.

Kmetz was a member of St. Church, Peru. In earlier years, she was a Girl Scout Daisy Troop leader. She received train- ing in interior design. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and baking.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Mark; four children, Jason Kmetz of LaSalle, Holly Kmetz of Spring Valley, Randi (Adam) Lind of Spring Valley and Desteny (Cody) White of Toluca; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cathy (Tom) Miller of Louisiana and Laura Paul of Oregon; two brothers, Steve (Michelle) Kitchen of Texas and Randy (Shawna) Kitchen of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. com. ROBIN L. (KITCHEN) KMETZ Born: October 4, 1958 in Sikeston, MO Died: August 13, 2021 in Ladd, IL Robert E. Plotner, 86, of Tiskilwa, Illinois, passed away at 2:02 a.m. August 15, 2021, at his home with family present.

Robert was born September 11, 1934 in Bradford, Illinois, the son of Robert Aaron and Mayme (Pickerill) Plotner. He married Jean Martzluf on January 22, 1960 at Leet Memorial Methodist Church, Bradford, Illinois. She survives in Tiskilwa. They shared 61 and a half years together. He is also survived by one daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Plotner-Sampson of Neponset, Illinois; one brother, John (Mary) Plotner of Denton, Texas; and one sister, Joyce Sharkey of Bradford, Illinois.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Deputy Brian Plotner; his parents; two broth- ers, Donald Plotner and Myrle Plotner, one stepbrother, Harold Plotner; one stepsister, Dorothy Calcutt; and two nieces, Charity Plot- ner, and Pamela Gale. He graduated from Bradford High School. Bob was self employed as a lifelong farmer. He was an avid hunter of North American game. Bob was a recognized trap shooter and enjoyed fishing.

He also had his private license. Bob served on several boards: in- cluding the Bradford School Board. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, Illinois with Pastor Derek Boggs and Pastor Jessica Boggs, co-officiating.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, prior to the service Tuesday, August 24, 2021. It is preferred that masks be worn. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Bradford Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Evangel- ical Covenant Church, the Tiskilwa Rescue Squad, or choice.

PLOTNER Born: September 11, 1934 in Bradford, IL Died: August 15, 2021 in Tiskilwa, IL PRINCETON PRINCETON Wednesday at the Bureau County Fair is Family Day and you can bring the whole family for $10 for a carload of people. There is a wristband ride special that is the cheapest all week only $20 for unlimited rides from 5 to 10 p.m. The North American Midway is coming to Bureau County from the Indiana State Fair with a new selection of rides.

All exhibits in the Fine Arts build- ing will have been judged so stop in and see who got the blue ribbons. As always, there will be plenty of great fair food. New this year is Butt Shack in the hospitality building. The grandstand event is free to attend. The talent show will start at 6 p.m.

Come out and see what kinds of talent will be shown. To get information on how to participate, call Guy at 815-579-2880 after 5 p.m. They are looking for all kinds of talent and singers and this year open to adults too. Senior citizens can come to the fair for only $2 on Thursday for Senior Citi- zen Day. At noon there will be bingo in the hospitality building and music will be performed all day long.

A large group of volunteers will be in the infield setting up the equipment and chairs for the Martina McBride concert which begins at 8 p.m. Thursday night. Tick- ets that were purchased for the 2020 show are still valid for this show. McBride has won the Country Music Vocalist of the award four times and the Acad- emy of Country Female award three times. She is also a 14-time Grammy Award nominee.
